Buyer/Accountant 3.8 3.8 out of 5 stars Social Circle, GA 30025 Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Buyer/Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for sourcing and purchasing goods and services that align with our company’s needs while ensuring optimal inventory levels. This role requires strong negotiation skills, proficiency in inventory control systems, budgeting and a solid understanding of logistics and e-commerce operations. Responsibilities Develop and implement purchasing strategies to optimize procurement processes. Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers to secure the best terms and pricing. Procure materials, supplies, and services in accordance with company requirements. Manage inventory control to ensure adequate stock levels while minimizing excess inventory. Utilize software such as SAP, Oracle EBS, or MRP systems for tracking orders and managing procurement data. Collaborate with logistics teams to ensure timely delivery of products. Analyze market trends and supplier performance to make informed purchasing decisions. Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and supplier information. Support e-commerce initiatives by sourcing products that meet online sales requirements. Skills Strong negotiation skills to secure favorable terms with suppliers. Strong Accounting knowledge Proficiency in inventory control practices and software (SAP, Oracle
EBS, MRP
). Knowledge of logistics processes and supply chain management. Familiarity with e-commerce platforms and strategies for product procurement. Ability to analyze data effectively to inform purchasing decisions. Excellent communication skills for collaboration with internal teams and external vendors. Experience with selling or marketing products is a plus. Familiarity with Edwards software is advantageous but not required. Compensation for this role is $20 – $25/hr BOE.
