Cost Accountant Confidential Dalton, GA 30720 Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Cost Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and providing insightful financial analysis to support business decisions. This position requires proficiency in various accounting systems and a strong understanding of financial concepts. Duties Full responsibility for all aspects of product costing, including development and implementation of cost systems. Ongoing maintenance of standard costs and analysis of actual costs vs. standards. Prepare and maintain accurate cost accounting records and reports. Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost savings. Experience Proven experience in cost accounting or a similar role is preferred. Strong knowledge of general ledger accounting principles and practices. Strong Excel skills. Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy. Good communication skills.
