Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accountant to join our team in Shreveport, Louisiana. In this role, you will focus on auditing, analyzing, and reconciling financial data to ensure accuracy and compliance. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a passion for numbers and problem-solving to contribute to process improvements and cost optimization.

Responsibilities:

• Audit vendor invoices against internal cost data to identify and resolve billing discrepancies.
• Utilize Excel to validate, compare, and analyze pricing and invoice information.
• Review payment terms and early payment discounts to ensure accurate application and maximize cost savings.
• Conduct root cause analysis to address mismatches between vendor and internal records, suggesting process improvements as needed.
• Upload and manage invoices in the organization’s automation system for seamless processing.
• Perform light data entry and verification for invoices requiring manual input.
• Collaborate across teams, including IT and accounts payable, to ensure alignment and accuracy in financial operations. Requirements
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting, accounts payable, or a related financial role.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including data analysis and reporting.
• Strong attention to detail and critical thinking abilities.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with accounting or accounts payable software is preferred.
• Ability to work independently while effectively collaborating with cross-functional teams.
