Accountant/Administrator Ayres, Shelton, Williams, Benson & Paine, LLC 333 Texas St, Shreveport, LA 71101 Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a background in financial accounting, reporting and analysis along with strong administrative skills. This role requires a proactive individual who can collaborate with owners and staff to maintain a high level of efficiency and professionalism. A solid leader who is an experienced accountant with strong administrative skills and is attentive to details will ensure the effectiveness and success of the business. Responsibilities Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements and reports for multiple entities in accordance with GAAP. Manage general ledger accounting, including journal entries and timely reconciliations. Conduct thorough financial analysis and presentation of financials to support decision-making processes. Perform HR function which includes facilitating recruitment, orientation and onboarding of new employees. Responsible for payroll and benefits administration. Collaborate with support staff to ensure integration into processes and maintain productivity. Assist with marketing initiatives, maintain the website, and act as the liaison with all service providers, to ensure timely and accurate delivery of products and services. Skills Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines. Problem solving and decision-making skills Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with integrity. Strong knowledge of general ledger accounting principles and practices. Experience with payroll processing and related compliance issues. Keen attention to detail and accuracy in financial accounting, reporting and data analysis. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective collaboration across teams. Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
