The Louisiana Hospital Association (LHA) is seeking an experienced Associate Vice President of Finance & Accounting to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with the Chief Financial Officer and Controller to support and manage key financial and accounting functions across the organization’s multiple entities. This position plays an essential role in ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of financial data, supporting internal reporting and analysis, and contributing to the organization’s overall financial health. The ideal candidate will bring a strong foundation in technical accounting, exceptional attention to detail, and a positive, solution-oriented approach to addressing challenges and improving processes. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required. Minimum of five (5) years of accounting experience required. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation required. Must possess strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and tax compliance. Key Responsibilities Collaborate with the CFO and accounting staff to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports. Support investment data entry, budget compilation, and tax preparation, in coordination with external CPA Firm, across multiple entities. Oversee expense reporting and ensure adherence to organizational policies. Manage Political Action Committee (PAC) compliance and reporting. Support grant accounting and compliance for federal and state programs. Handle billing and collections in coordination with department heads. Ensure continued compliance with financial laws, regulations, and internal control practices. The LHA is committed to providing equal employment opportunities to qualified persons.
