Job DetailsResponsibilities:
Perform month-end closing activities, includingpreparing journal entries, reconciling accounts, and analyzingfinancial data to ensure accuracy and completeness. Collaboratewith cross-functional teams to gather financial information andensure compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted AccountingPrinciples) and company policies. Manage commercial real estateaccounting processes, including lease accounting, propertymanagement fees, and tenant billings. Prepare financial reports,including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flowstatements, and provide insightful analysis to supportdecision-making. Assist in the preparation of annual budgets andforecasts, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and objectives.
Conduct regular audits of financial transactions, identifydiscrepancies or errors, and implement corrective actions. Supportexternal auditors during the annual audit process, providingnecessary documentation and explanations. Stay updated with changesin accounting regulations and industry best practices, and ensurecompliance within the organization. Mentor and train junioraccounting staff, providing guidance and support in theirprofessional development.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree inAccounting or Finance; CPA certification is highly preferred.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably inthe Finance industry. In-depth knowledge of month-end closingprocesses, including journal entries, reconciliations, andfinancial analysis. Strong understanding of Commercial Real EstateAccounting principles, including lease accounting and propertymanagement fees. Proficient in analyzing financial reports andproviding insightful recommendations to drive business performance.
Solid understanding of GAAP and ability to apply accountingprinciples accurately. Experience with financial systems andsoftware, such as SAP, Oracle, or QuickBooks. Excellent attentionto detail and ability to meet tight deadlines. Strong analyticaland problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify andresolve complex accounting issues. Exceptional communication andinterpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectivelywith cross-functional teams. Proven ability to mentor and trainjunior accounting staff, fostering their professional growth.
