Job Summary :

Arc of Acadiana is seeking an experienced Accountant to join our expanding accounting team. The ideal candidate would be a self-starting professional with strong computer, analytical, problem-solving skills and would have extensive double-entry accounting experience. Key Responsibilities of the

Position:

Analyze and interpret data and properly prepare general ledger entries. Maintain supporting schedules for prepaids, accruals, and amortized expenses. Maintain organized and detailed documentation to support financial transactions. Perform general ledger account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data. Collaborate with accounting team and management to meet department and organization objectives. Assist with external audit preparations. Balances multiple demands, prioritizes tasks, and retains clear focus. Communicate effectively internally and externally. Assist with research, development, and implementation of new accounting processes. Assist with special projects, as necessary. Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience. Bachelor, Associate, or Accounting Certificate beneficial. Demonstrates understanding of accounting principles and financial processes. Strong math acumen. Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office Suite, particularly Excel Demonstrates a strong understanding of confidentiality protocols and a commitment to protecting sensitive information. Ability to focus on specifics while also understanding the broader context and implications of a situation, project, or task. Adaptable to change. References Three professional references required.
