Job Description
Description We are offering a contract to full-time employment opportunity for an AP Accountant in Metairie, Louisiana. The selected candidate will be part of a team where they will be handling full-cycle accounts payable, reconciliation tasks, and assisting with month-end close for several locations across the country.
Responsibilities:
- Handle full-cycle accounts payable operations
- Process a high volume of invoices with accuracy
- Carry out regular account reconciliations
- Collaborate with field employees for approvals
- Provide support during the month-end closing process
- Utilize Accounting Software Systems to maintain and update records
- Audit accounts to ensure accuracy and compliance
- Work with the Deltek system as part of the accounting functions. Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in an AP Accountant role or similar
- Proficiency in using Accounting Software Systems
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of Accounting Functions
- Experience in Auditing, with a focus on financial auditing and compliance
- Practical knowledge of Accounts Payable (AP) procedures and management
- Ability to handle and approve invoices, ensuring they meet company standards
- Proficient in Account Reconciliation, with a keen eye for discrepancies
