Staff Accountant Position Available In Jefferson, Louisiana

Description We are inviting applications for the position of Staff Accountant to join our team in Harvey, Louisiana. As a part of our team, the Staff Accountant will be responsible for managing various financial transactions, maintaining accurate records and assisting in the drafting of financial statements.

Responsibilities:

• Handle financial transactions including journal entries and bank reconciliations
• Assist with the drafting of financial statements under the guidance of the controller
• Maintain precise records of accounts receivable
• Conduct month-end close procedures to ensure accurate financial reporting
• Utilize Excel for various accounting tasks
• Manage electronic funds transfers including ACH’s and wire transfers
• Gain exposure to construction accounting, although it is not a mandatory requirement. Requirements
• Proven experience in Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Ability to perform Bank Reconciliations accurately and efficiently
• Proficiency in managing and maintaining the General Ledger
• Extensive experience in preparing Journal Entries
• Demonstrated capability in handling Month End Close procedures
