Project Accountant Position Available In Lafayette, Louisiana

Staffmark is partnering with a leading commercial construction company in Lafayette to hire a Project Accountant. Salary:

$60,000 – $75,000 (based on experience)

Schedule:

Full-Time | First Shift |

Monday-Friday Responsibilities:

Monitor budgets, forecasts, and project cost reports Process subcontractor invoices, AIA billings, and change orders Collaborate with project managers to track costs and update projections Set up new projects in accounting systems and manage AR Prepare project-specific financial statements and support month-end close Ensure compliance with GAAP, internal controls, and audit requirements

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (preferred) 3+ years of experience in construction or project accounting Familiarity with WIP schedules, job cost reporting, and AIA billing Experience with software like Sage, Procore, or Viewpoint is a plus Strong Excel skills and a detail-oriented mindset
