Staff Accountant
We are seeking a diligent Staff Accountant for our client located in New Orleans, Louisiana. This position offers a short-term contract to full time employment opportunity. As a Staff Accountant, you will be responsible for managing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR), conducting bank reconciliations, and maintaining the general ledger.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the Accounts Payable (AP) and ensure all financial obligations are met in a timely manner
• Oversee the Accounts Receivable (AR) and ensure all payments are received and properly recorded
• Conduct bank reconciliations regularly to ensure financial records are accurate
• Maintain the general ledger and ensure all entries are accurate and up to date
• Prepare journal entries and ensure they are properly recorded in the ledger
• Assist in the month-end close procedures to ensure timely financial reporting
• Utilize QuickBooks for financial tracking and reporting
• Use SAP software for business process management and reporting
• Proficient in handling Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Skilled in performing Bank Reconciliations
• Familiarity with managing and maintaining the General Ledger
• Experience in preparing Journal Entries
• Ability to perform Month End Close tasks
• Expertise in using QuickBooks for accounting purposes
• Knowledge and experience in using SAP software for financial management
