Staff Accountant – Accounts Receivable Position Available In Orleans, Louisiana

Job Description Summary The Staff Accountant performs a variety of accounting duties according to established policies and procedures. The Staff Accountant also assists the Accounting Manager in all duties required by department. Job Description Key Job Functions Billing of Master Accounts Printout of group turnovers and make the files for future groups Assign Posting Master and Account Receivable numbers in Opera for future groups Review and checkout Posting Masters on a daily basis Handle phone inquiries from internal staff as well as from transient guests Bill special accounts using Excel Daily review & reconcile Posting Master (Accounts, e.g. Banquets, Outlets Research, etc.) Attend resume and pre-convention meetings as needed Review group contracts prior to arrival and efficiently make notes in PMS or POS system Review open folios on a daily basis Build solid relationship with your Colleagues Treat colleagues with respect and dignity Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned. The employee is expected to work in other areas of the hotel when needed to assist operations to perform job duties not necessarily contained in this job description.
