This role is essential for ensuring the integrity of our financial operations and helping us achieve our organizational goals.

  • Position Summary:
  • The Full Charge Accountant/Controller will be responsible for overseeing all accounting functions, including financial reporting, budgeting, cash flow management, and compliance.

The ideal candidate will have a thorough understanding of accounting principles, excellent analytical skills, and a commitment to accuracy and detail. This position can be adapted to full-time or part-time based on the candidate’s preferences.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Financial Management:
  • Oversee the daily operations of the accounting function, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations as well as internal policies.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting:
  • Develop and manage annual budgets and forecasts.
  • Monitor financial performance against the budget and provide analysis and recommendations for improvements.
  • Tax Compliance:
  • Coordinate with outside CPAs for income tax preparation.
  • Maintain accurate financial records and document processes.
  • Cash Flow Management:
  • Manage cash flow forecasts and report discrepancies.
  • Develop strategies to optimize cash management.
  • Process Improvement:
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy of financial reporting.
  • Utilize accounting software and technologies to streamline operations.
  • Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or CMA preferred).
  • Minimum of Five years of experience in accounting, with demonstrated experience in a full charge accountant or controller role.
  • Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, or similar) and MS Office Suite, particularly Excel for financial modeling and analysis.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
