Job Overview We’re seeking an Accountant Assistant with 2 years of experience to support our financial and administrative operations. The ideal candidate is highly organized, proficient in QuickBooks, and adept at managing invoices, purchase orders (POs), accounts payable/receivable, job costing, and inventory tracking across multiple software systems. Responsibilities Process and track invoices for residential and light commercial projects (e.g., HVAC installations, electrical upgrades), ensuring accuracy and timely billing. Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable, reconciling vendor payments and client receipts in QuickBooks. Create, track, and reconcile purchase orders (POs) for materials and services, maintaining accurate inventory records to support projects like heat pump or boiler installations. Perform job costing, analyzing charges for labor, materials, and overhead to ensure project profitability and alignment with budgets. Utilize QuickBooks to maintain financial records, generate reports, and track expenses, revenue, and project costs. Work in multiple software systems (e.g., QuickBooks, potentially ServiceTitan for job tracking) to streamline financial and administrative workflows (training provided if needed). Collaborate with the finance team to meet project deadlines and organizational goals, ensuring timely rebate processing (e.g., Mass Save programs) and payment schedules. Prioritize and manage multiple tasks, such as invoice processing, PO tracking, and financial reporting, while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Demonstrate high data processing ability, accurately handling large volumes of financial data, including invoices, POs, and inventory records. Support payroll preparation, ensuring technicians and staff are paid accurately and on time. Maintain organized digital and physical records for financial and administrative documents, ensuring compliance with company policies. Contribute to a culture of innovation by suggesting process improvements for financial, inventory, or administrative systems. Provide internal customer service, assisting technicians and office staff with financial inquiries or documentation needs.

Qualifications Experience :

2 years of experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or administrative roles, with hands-on expertise in QuickBooks, invoicing, POs, accounts payable/receivable, and job costing.

Skills :

Proficient in QuickBooks (e.g., QuickBooks Online or Desktop) for managing invoices, POs, accounts payable/receivable, job costing, and financial reporting. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively to meet deadlines. Understanding of purchase orders and inventory management, ensuring accurate tracking of materials and costs. High data processing ability to handle large volumes of financial and administrative data accurately.

Tech-Savvy :

Comfortable working in multiple software systems (e.g., QuickBooks, Microsoft Office, potentially ServiceTitan) and adaptable to new tools (training provided).

Collaboration :

Ability to work closely with the finance team to meet project deadlines and organizational goals, supporting project profitability and efficiency.

Soft Skills :

Detail-oriented, proactive, and communicative, with a team-oriented mindset to thrive in a diverse, innovative environment.

Bonus :

Familiarity with the home services industry (e.g., HVAC, electrical), Mass Save rebate processing, or ServiceTitan. Experience with inventory software or job costing tools is a plus.

Education :
