The Opportunity:
Our client is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Senior Real Estate Accountant to join their seasoned and high-performing team on the North Shore. Reporting directly to the Controller, you will be responsible for the full scope of accounting, analysis, and financial statement preparation for a dedicated portfolio of properties and their associated investor funds. $95,000 – $110,000 per yearshift: Firstwork hours: 8 AM – 4
PMeducation:
BachelorsResponsibilities Manage full-cycle accounting for a dedicated real estate portfolio, including AP, AR, and GL maintenance. Execute the month-end close by preparing journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements. Calculate and process monthly property management, asset management, and construction fees in accordance with partnership agreements. Prepare and review monthly/quarterly Common Area Maintenance (CAM) reconciliations, ensuring accurate tenant billings per lease agreements. Drive the annual budget and reforecasting process for assigned properties, including the development of detailed reserve analyses and cash flow forecasts. Support annual audits by preparing financial statements and footnote disclosures, and assist with tax compliance by maintaining depreciation schedules and preparing work papers. Handle accounting for property acquisitions and dispositions, including preparing revenue/expense prorations and posting opening/closing statements. Proactively identify and implement process improvements to enhance internal controls and reporting efficiency. Conduct ad-hoc financial analysis and prepare special reports for senior management as needed.
