Position Summary:

We are seeking a motivated and highly detail-oriented Fund Accountant to take on a critical role within our client’s finance team. Reporting directly to the Controller, you will be responsible for the full-cycle accounting, complex analysis, and financial statement preparation for an assigned portfolio of investment funds. This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned accounting professional to take ownership of key reporting functions and contribute to the success of a leading investment firm.

Financial Reporting & Close Management:

Manage the full-cycle accounting and monthly close process for a portfolio of investment funds. Prepare and deliver comprehensive quarterly investor reports, including Net Asset Value (NAV) statements, financial statements, and footnote disclosures.

Fund Operations & Analysis:

Prepare detailed analysis to support investor capital calls and distribution recommendations. Develop and maintain fund-level budgets, reforecasts, and cash reserve analyses.

Waterfall & Fee Calculations:

Execute and maintain complex fund-level waterfall calculations in accordance with partnership agreements. Accurately calculate and reconcile all inter-entity and related party fees and expenses.

Audit & Tax Support:

Lead the preparation for annual investment fund audits, serving as a key point of contact for external auditors. Coordinate and prepare work papers to support the timely completion of annual partnership income tax returns and Schedule K-1s.

Process Improvement & Special Projects:

Proactively identify and participate in process improvements to enhance internal controls and reporting efficiency. Conduct ad-hoc financial analysis and prepare special reports for senior leadership by summarizing complex information and trends.

Technical Accounting:

Research and interpret industry and accounting guidance to ensure its proper application to fund accounting and reporting processes.
