Staff Accountant Position Available In Essex, Massachusetts

Description We are looking for a highly detail-oriented and motivated Staff Accountant to join our team on a Contract with potential for a long-term role in Danvers, Massachusetts. In this position, you will play a key part in maintaining financial accuracy and supporting essential accounting functions. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to a dynamic environment while honing your expertise in various areas of accounting.

Responsibilities:

• Manage accounts payable processes, including verifying and processing invoices efficiently.
• Oversee accounts receivable activities, ensuring accurate tracking and timely collections.
• Prepare and post journal entries to maintain the integrity of financial records.
• Maintain and reconcile the general ledger, ensuring all transactions are properly recorded.
• Conduct bank reconciliations to confirm accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
• Assist in payroll processing, ensuring compliance and timely distribution.
• Support month-end closing activities, including preparing reports and analyzing financial data.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address accounting inquiries and provide solutions.
• Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and company policies. Requirements
• Proven experience in accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
• Strong knowledge of journal entries and general ledger maintenance.
• Proficiency in performing bank reconciliations with attention to detail.
• Familiarity with payroll processing and related compliance requirements.
• Experience in month-end closing procedures and financial reporting.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Strong analytical abilities to identify and resolve discrepancies.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
