Accountant II (Hybrid) Our client seeks a detail-oriented and proactive accounting professional who thrives in a collaborative environment. The ideal candidate brings strong analytical thinking, time management, and communication skills, paired with the adaptability to support diverse financial operations. A commitment to accuracy, discretion, and continuous improvement is essential for success in this dynamic setting. This is a hybrid role requiring 1 day a week onsite in Boston, Massachusetts. Due to the nature of this role and immediate business needs, we are only considering candidates currently residing in Boston, Massachusetts and the surrounding area. Accountant II Responsibilities Prepare and review journal entries, general ledger postings, and financial statements. Reconcile bank statements, intercompany accounts, departmental invoices, and general ledger balances. Analyze financial data to identify trends, predict expenses, and support operational planning. Support month-end and quarter-end financial close and reporting processes. Assist with audits, compliance reports, government filings, and special projects. Accountant II Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; Master’s degree may substitute for one year of experience. 2+ years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in healthcare or a related field. Proficiency in accounting software (Lawson preferred) and strong Excel/Word skills. Strong organizational, analytical, and multitasking abilities with high attention to detail. Professional demeanor with excellent communication skills and a strong sense of confidentiality.
