Staff Accountant Position Available In Suffolk, Massachusetts

Description We are looking for a skilled Staff Accountant to join our team on a contract basis in Boston, Massachusetts. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to key accounting functions, ensuring the financial health and efficiency of the organization. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in managing accounts payable, accounts receivable, and other essential accounting operations.

Responsibilities:

• Process and manage accounts payable transactions, ensuring accuracy and timely payments.
• Oversee accounts receivable operations, including invoicing and collections.
• Perform bank reconciliations to ensure financial records align with account statements.
• Maintain and update the general ledger with detailed and accurate entries.
• Assist in the month-end closing process by preparing necessary reports and journal entries.
• Utilize QuickBooks and QuickBooks Online for day-to-day accounting tasks.
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies.
• Provide support for audits by organizing and preparing relevant financial documentation.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement within accounting workflows. Requirements
• Proven experience in accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
• Strong knowledge of bank reconciliations and general ledger maintenance.
• Familiarity with month-end close procedures and the ability to meet deadlines.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks and QuickBooks Online.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to analyze financial data and prepare accurate reports.
• Strong communication skills for collaborating with team members and external stakeholders.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
