Senior Corporate Accountant Position Available In Worcester, Massachusetts

Description We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior Corporate Accountant to join our accounting team and contribute to the success of our organization. The Senior Corporate Accountant will play a key role in the general ledger accounting and monthly financial close process while ensuring compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). This position requires strong technical accounting knowledge, proficiency with NetSuite, and experience in corporate accounting functions.

Key Responsibilities:

Monthly Close Process:

Lead the preparation and execution of month-end and quarter-end close processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statement preparation. +

GAAP Compliance:

Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards and policies, including researching and implementing new GAAP requirements when applicable. +

NetSuite Expertise:

Leverage advanced NetSuite functionality to improve reporting efficiency, streamline processes, and ensure the integrity of financial data. +

Financial Analysis & Reporting:

Prepare detailed financial reports, variance analyses, and presentations for senior leadership, helping drive strategic decision-making. +

Internal Controls:

Assist in maintaining and strengthening internal control processes to safeguard company assets and ensure accurate financial reporting. +

Audit Support:

Coordinate with auditors during the year-end audit process and provide requested financial data and documentation. +

Special Projects:

Provide support for cross-functional initiatives, system implementations, and ad hoc accounting projects to enhance processes and meet business objectives.

Requirements Qualifications:

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA designation strongly preferred. +

Experience:

Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in corporate accounting, preferably at a publicly traded company. +

Technical Skills:

+ Advanced knowledge of GAAP and technical accounting principles. + Proficiency in NetSuite ERP required; experience with NetSuite customizations is a strong plus. + Strong Excel skills, including pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and data analysis. +

Soft Skills:

+ Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines. + Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present financial information effectively to non-financial audiences. + Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
