Job Description
Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Sr. Accountant in South Paris, Maine. This role focuses on cost accounting, budgetary strategies, forecasting, and financial analysis. The position is instrumental in supporting the executive accounting team during policies implementations across the organization and leading audit and GAAP. This is a flexible hybrid schedule!
Responsibilities:
- Undertake account reconciliation tasks to ensure accurate financial records
- Conduct bank reconciliations to confirm all transactions are recorded
- Manage the general ledger, ensuring all entries are accurate and up-to-date
- Prepare journal entries for financial transactions and changes
- Utilize Microsoft Excel for data analysis and financial reporting
- Oversee the month-end close process, ensuring all financial data is accurate
- Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with established procedures and standards
- Develop and manage budgetary and forecasting processes to support financial planning. Requirements
- The candidate must have a minimum of 7 years of experience in the field of accounting.
- Proficient in account reconciliation to ensure accuracy and compliance of financial data.
- Experience with bank reconciliations, identifying and resolving any discrepancies.
- Knowledge of General Ledger management is mandatory.
- Cost Accounting
- The candidate should have advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Experience in handling month-end close procedures.
- Familiarity with audit procedures and principles.
- Experience in budgeting and forecasting to aid in financial planning and strategy.
