Staff Accountant Position Available In York, Maine

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team on a contract basis in Biddeford, Maine. This role involves managing key accounting functions such as inventory counts, account reconciliations, and general ledger activities. The position requires hands-on engagement with periodic accounts and collaboration with the team on the floor.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough inventory counts, including raw materials, hardware, and finished goods.
• Perform detailed account reconciliations to ensure financial accuracy.
• Manage general ledger entries and maintain up-to-date financial records.
• Execute journal entries and assist in month-end closing processes.
• Collaborate with team members on the production floor to oversee inventory and accounting operations.
• Utilize JobBOSS software to support accounting tasks and ensure efficiency.
• Review and analyze periodic accounts for accuracy and compliance.
• Participate in annual inventory audits and provide detailed reports. Requirements
• Proven experience in bank reconciliations and account management.
• Strong understanding of general ledger accounting and journal entries.
• Familiarity with month-end close processes and financial reporting.
• Proficiency in JobBOSS software or similar accounting tools.
• Ability to conduct inventory counts and audits with attention to detail.
• Excellent organizational and analytical skills.
• Effective communication and collaboration abilities to work with cross-functional teams.
