Job Description
Description We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in Branson, Missouri. This role involves managing diverse accounting operations across multiple properties and businesses while ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, a detail-oriented mindset, and the ability to adapt to a dynamic work environment.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee month-end close processes for various entities, including rentals, retail outlets, and associations.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations.
- Reconcile balance sheets and profit and loss statements across multiple businesses.
- Manage year-end audit processes and ensure all documentation is organized and accurate.
- Develop and maintain operational budgets for multiple properties and business lines.
- Create advanced Excel spreadsheets to streamline reporting and support data analysis.
- Collaborate with corporate teams on accounts payable, payroll, and accounts receivable processes.
- Handle ad hoc accounting projects to support departmental goals and objectives.
- Ensure timely submission of journal entries and maintain the integrity of general ledger accounts.
- Provide guidance and oversight to less experienced accounting staff when applicable. Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, preferably in property accounting, hospitality, or similar industries.
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field (flexibility on formal education with additional experience).
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including functions like pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and SUMIFS.
- Familiarity with accounting systems such as Oracle, Symphony, or similar platforms.
- Strong knowledge of general ledger processes, journal entries, and reconciliations.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Prior experience with year-end audits and financial statement preparation.
