Your Role & Responsibilities
As a Tax Accountant, you’ll lead the preparation and review of a variety of tax returns while ensuring compliance, accuracy, and client satisfaction.
Prepare and review individual tax returns (with Schedule C & Schedule E)
Review partnership and corporate tax returns for quality and accuracy
Conduct tax research and provide detailed tax projections as needed
Communicate with clients daily regarding questions and tax planning
Collaborate with management to report on project status and resolve client issues
Review financials and data entry for accuracy
Calculate sales and use tax as applicable
Support, mentor, and guide accounting clerical staff
Ensure all deadlines for reviews and projects are met
What You Bring to the Table
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or eligibility to sit for the exam
- Required
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting - Required
3+ years of experience in accounting
Expertise in individual, partnership, and corporate tax preparation
Proficient in accounting software and Excel - Drake software preferred
Strong experience with QuickBooks
Organized, meticulous, and detail-oriented
Strong communication skills and ability to simplify complex tax issues for clients
Self-motivated and able to work independently or collaboratively
