ACCOUNTANT I
OFFICE
OF ACCOUNTING
STATE SERVICE
Salary Range:
$36,624.00 – $54,990.95
Salary will be negotiable and commensurate with experience.
RESPONSIBILITIES
The Mississippi Department of Education is seeking to employ an Accountant I in the office of Accounting. This position is responsible for making timely and accurate payments in MAGIC. This person will also reconcile payments, maintain files, and perform any other accounting duties as assigned.
SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS
Experience in MAGIC (Mississippi’s Accountability System for Government Information and Collaboration) and accounts payable.
EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
Typically requires a Bachelor’s Degree and 0-2 years of experience.
