With a focus on the construction industry, this role involves leading multiple client engagements and ensuring accurate, timely tax service delivery. The position requires both technical expertise and confident project oversight. Ideal candidates will bring a strong sense of ownership, sound judgment, and a commitment to developing others. Key Responsibilities Oversee multiple projects simultaneously, managing scheduling, staffing, and workflow. Provide on-the-job training, guidance, and performance feedback to staff. Review workpapers and returns prepared by staff for accuracy and completeness. Monitor project time budgets and address potential issues proactively. Maintain clear communication with Partners regarding project status and challenges. Ensure tax returns and compliance filings meet professional and firm standards. Coordinate progress updates with clients and relationship managers. Contribute to performance evaluations and ongoing team development. Prepare client invoices and communicate billing details as needed. Maintain awareness of industry developments and economic or regulatory changes. Identify cross-selling opportunities and collaborate with firm professionals as needed. Ensure data accuracy across all aspects of accounting and consulting work. Participate in mentorship and demonstrate effective workload delegation. Requirements Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in accounting. CPA required or scheduled to sit for the final exam section. 5-7 years of progressive experience in tax accounting. Construction industry tax experience preferred. Proven ability to lead, train, and manage staff. Strong communication and client service skills. Minimum of 40 hours of CPE annually. Participation in firm-provided professional development programs.
