Accountant- Construction 4.0 4.0 out of 5 stars Flowood, MS 39232 Ergon Inc. is seeking a full-time Accountant to join our Accounting team within the Construction Division. The person in this position is responsible for maintaining the financial books and records of a growing construction company engaged in commercial general contracting and industrial construction & maintenance.

Education and Experience Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in accounting Two years of prior work experience in construction Knowledge of financial accounting standards and business processes specific to the construction industry Sage software experience is preferred but not required.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Job costing Reconcile and analysis of accounts Review and record transactions Exercising professional judgment to make accounting estimates Asset accounting, maintaining budgets, preparing financial statements, and communicating financial results and analysis to company management Monthly reconciliation of the company’s Sage financials with Ergon’s enterprise financials in SAP Prepare and publish a variety of internal management reports and analyses Update budgets and projections Analyze and maintain appropriate internal controls Work with auditors to complete the annual financial audit.
