Sr. Accountant Position Available In Cabarrus, North Carolina

Description We have a client that is looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to do a short-term contract. This is a short-term contract position ideal for someone who excels in accounting operations and financial reporting. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with established accounting standards. This role is fully remote. Netsuite experience is a must.

Responsibilities:

• Perform account reconciliations to ensure the accuracy of financial records.
• Manage balance sheet reconciliations and address discrepancies in a timely manner.
• Conduct bank reconciliations to verify alignment between company records and bank statements.
• Oversee general ledger activities, including maintaining and updating accounts.
• Prepare and post journal entries to support accurate financial reporting.
• Collaborate on month-end closing procedures to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
• Utilize accounting software such as NetSuite, Oracle, or SAP to streamline operations.
• Generate and analyze financial reports using advanced Microsoft Excel functions.
• Ensure compliance with accounting policies and regulatory standards.
• Provide support for ad hoc financial projects and audits as needed. Requirements
• Proven experience in account reconciliation and financial reporting.
• Strong knowledge of balance sheet reconciliation and bank reconciliation processes.
• Proficiency in general ledger management and journal entry preparation.
• Familiarity with accounting software such as NetSuite.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and formulas.
• Solid understanding of month-end closing procedures and accounting standards.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
