Staff Accountant, Full Time, Home Office The Staff Accountant reports to the Controller of EveryAge. This position is responsible for general accounting functions including but not limited to reconciling the company’s cash and investment accounts, ensuring accurate and timely recording of all cash transactions. This role involves monitoring cash flow and supporting the finance team with various accounting tasks.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform monthly bank and investment account reconciliations, resolving discrepancies and reporting variances.
Monitor cash flow activities and assist with forecasting to support financial planning.
Prepare and review general ledger and balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
Support month-end and year-end close processes, audits, and financial reporting requirements.
Review and reconcile corporate credit card transactions and expense reports, ensuring policy compliance.
Collaborate with departments and provide financial support to programs, including billing and collections.
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance reconciliation efficiency and accuracy.
Minimal Education:
Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or a related field is required.
Minimal Qualifications:
2+ years of experience in accounting or finance, with a focus on cash management.
Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g. Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, NetSuite, SAP, or similar).
Advance proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc.).
Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Strong attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.
