Senior Accountant Position Available In Cleveland, North Carolina

Company Overview Our client is a well-established service provider specializing in the maintenance and repair of commercial equipment across multiple customer sites in the Southeast. Position Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Staff Accountant to join a collaborative and hands-on accounting team. This role will focus on day-to-day accounting tasks, month-end close, reconciliations, and supporting financial reporting. Key Responsibilities Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and monthly reconciliations Support month-end and year-end close processes Maintain and reconcile bank accounts, prepaid schedules, and fixed assets Assist with accounts payable and receivable functions Prepare internal financial reports and assist with variance analysis Support audit preparation and documentation Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting procedures Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 1+ years of relevant accounting experience Familiarity with GAAP and general accounting practices Proficiency in Excel and accounting software (QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP, etc.) Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to work independently and in a collaborative team setting Effective communication and time management skills Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco/Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual’s skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs.
