Sr. Accountant Position Available In Durham, North Carolina

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our team in Durham, North Carolina. In this role, you will play a key part in maintaining financial accuracy and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills and extensive experience managing reconciliations, financial statements, and month-end close processes.

Responsibilities:

• Perform account reconciliations to ensure the accuracy of financial records and resolve discrepancies.
• Conduct balance sheet reconciliations, verifying completeness and compliance with accounting standards.
• Manage bank reconciliations and monitor cash flow activities.
• Maintain and update the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Prepare and post journal entries to support financial reporting requirements.
• Lead month-end close processes, including reporting and variance analysis.
• Utilize accounting systems such as NetSuite, Oracle, or SAP to streamline financial operations.
• Assist with benefits payroll accounting and ensure accurate processing.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights and support decision-making. Requirements
• At least 2 years of experience in accounting or related roles.
• Proficiency in account reconciliation and balance sheet reconciliation.
• Strong knowledge of bank reconciliations and general ledger maintenance.
• Familiarity with accounting systems such as NetSuite, Oracle, or SAP.
• Expertise in preparing journal entries and managing month-end close processes.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including formulas and data analysis.
• Experience with benefits payroll accounting is preferred.
• Excellent organizational and analytical skills with a high attention to detail.
