This role is responsible for supporting monthly closings, financial reporting, and working closely with shared resources for Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable as it relates to these entities. Responsibilities Maintain the general ledger for both entities, ensuring accurate and timely recording of all transactions. Calculate and process monthly sales commissions in accordance with company policies and agreements. Review and approve AR and AP entries, ensuring alignment with internal controls and intercompany accounting requirements. Manage intercompany transactions and reconciliations. Assist with internal and external audits by preparing supporting documentation and addressing auditor requests. Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the accuracy, efficiency, and scalability of accounting functions. Maintain proper documentation for all accounting records in accordance with regulatory and internal requirements.
Manage accounts receivable collections:
monitor aging, follow up with customers, and escalate past-due accounts as needed. Monitor accounts payable to ensure adherence to negotiated payment terms and optimize cash flow. Collaborate with the AR/AP team to resolve disputes, ensure timely invoicing and payments, and maintain proper documentation. Manage customer rebate programs, including accruals, reconciliations, and reporting. Assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end closings, including journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations. Analyze internal financial statements and management reports for both entities. Ensure financial statements comply with applicable accounting standards and company policies. Assist in the annual budgeting process, working with department heads to gather inputs and finalize budgets. Prepare semi-annual forecasts based on actuals and business trends. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Accounting. Minimum 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience. Strong understanding of GAAP and month-end closing processes. Proficiency with Microsoft Dynamics AX ERP is considered an asset. Advanced Excel skills (e.g., pivot tables, LOOKUPs, data analysis). Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
