Junior Accountant 3.7 3.7 out of 5 stars Winston-Salem, NC We are seeking applicants for a Junior Accountant position with a company in Winston-Salem. This role is responsible for assisting the accounting team with all aspects of accounting duties including the General Ledger, month-end and year-end closings and reconciliations. Qualified candidates will have a degree in accounting with a minimum of 2 years of accounting experience.
Responsibilities:
Assist with month-end closing, including month-end reports, reconciliations Maintain intercompany GL accounts and worksheets – reconciling detail monthly Process all non-sales bank transactions Weekly audit of Wells Fargo transactions/funds and monthly reconciliation of applications Prepare and file monthly multi-state sales tax reports Reconcile bank statements Post daily sales, payments, journal entries and correcting entries as necessary Review and request refund checks weekly
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Accounting or a related field 2-3 yeas of accounting experience ERP System experience preferred Retail experience highly preferred This is a tech-forward company with excellent training opportunities.
