Accountant Position Available In Mecklenburg, North Carolina

Description We are looking for a skilled Accountant to join our team in Charlotte, North Carolina, within the non-profit sector. This position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to meaningful financial operations while supporting critical accounting functions. The ideal candidate will possess a solid understanding of general ledger management, journal entries, and account reconciliations, as well as experience backing up accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll processes.

Responsibilities:

• Manage general ledger activities, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Prepare and post journal entries to maintain proper accounting records.
• Perform regular account reconciliations to ensure financial data integrity.
• Provide backup support for accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
• Assist in processing payroll using Paylocity, ensuring compliance with organizational policies.
• Collaborate with team members to address and resolve financial discrepancies.
• Maintain and update financial records in NetSuite, ensuring proper documentation.
• Generate reports and balance sheet account analyses to support decision-making.
• Ensure adherence to accounting standards and regulations in all financial processes. Requirements
• Proven experience in accounting roles within the non-profit sector.
• Proficiency in general ledger management, journal entries, and reconciliations.
• Familiarity with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll processes.
• Hands-on experience with NetSuite and Paylocity systems.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
• Solid understanding of accounting principles and regulatory compliance.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
