Full Job Description Summary:

Recording and maintaining financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger entries, and other financial data in accounting software or spreadsheets.

Key Responsibilities:

Accounts receivable

  • Invoicing customer down payments and final invoices for delivered products or services. Maintaining AR aging and contacting customers to collect payment within payment terms. Accounts payable
  • Keying supplier invoices into AP+, setting up fixed assets, and adding/maintaining new supplier information. Working with Head of Accounting and to facilitate payments by assigned due dates. General Ledger Entries
  • Daily banking activity downloaded through bank software.

Monthly pre-payment expense entries processed. Monthly fixed assets maintenance and depreciation entries booked and reconciled. Maintaining other financial data in accounting software and internal spreadsheets for Alpitronic. Review transactions and creation and maintenance of weekly/monthly analysis of US spend. Monthly review and analysis of Facility and third-party expenses including utilities, landscaping, cleaning, electricity, water, waste disposal, etc. Sales Tax Compliance for invoicing via Avalara and monthly/quarterly/yearly mandatory filing process across all states.

Compliance and Regulation:

Support Head of Accounting in ensuring compliance and proper adherence to accounting standards (IFRS and US GAAP) and company policies. Support all business operations on an ad hoc basis as needed and approved by the Head of Accounting in support of company goals.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in accounting or business with emphasis in accounting is required. 5+ years of accounting experience; CPA is preferred. Excellent analytical and organizational skills. Attention to detail and delivering a quality work product on time. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, across a wide audience including the ability to effectively communicate with technical and non-technical teams. Ability to work cross-functionally to solve business process issues and provide accounting support to other functions. Demonstrated knowledge and application of IFRS and US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles. Demonstrated experience with ERP Applications preferred, involvement with implementation of ERP systems a plus. Proficient in Microsoft Office. Manufacturing or distribution/service Industry experience a plus.
