Accounts Payable Accountant Position Available In Mecklenburg, North Carolina

Description We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounts Payable (AP) Accountant to join our finance team. The AP Accountant will be responsible for managing the full cycle of accounts payable activities, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices, and maintaining strong relationships with vendors. Additional Skills & Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounts payable or a similar role. Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Knowledge of healthcare industry practices and regulations is a plus. Performance Expectations Process and review invoices for accuracy and proper approval. Manage the full cycle of accounts payable, including coding, batching, and entering invoices into the accounting system. Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies. Ensure timely payment of invoices and adherence to payment terms. Maintain accurate and organized AP records and documentation. Assist with month-end closing activities, including preparing AP reports and reconciliations. Collaborate with internal departments to ensure proper expense allocation and coding. Respond to vendor inquiries and maintain positive vendor relationships. Assist with the implementation of process improvements and automation initiatives. Experience Level Intermediate Level
