Staff Accountant Position Available In Mecklenburg, North Carolina

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team in Charlotte, North Carolina. This role involves managing financial records, ensuring compliance with tax regulations, and supporting the accuracy of corporate accounting processes. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in both tax preparation and general ledger management.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and file corporate tax returns in compliance with regulatory standards.
• Manage sales tax reporting and ensure accurate documentation of related transactions.
• Record and maintain journal entries to support the integrity of financial statements.
• Oversee general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and timely reconciliations.
• Assist in preparing financial reports and supporting audits as needed.
• Collaborate with other departments to streamline accounting processes and resolve discrepancies.
• Monitor and ensure adherence to tax rules and corporate accounting policies.
• Support month-end and year-end closing activities, ensuring all reporting deadlines are met. Requirements
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in accounting or a related field.
• Proficiency in corporate tax preparation and sales tax reporting.
• Strong knowledge of journal entries and general ledger management.
• Familiarity with corporate accounting principles and practices.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with team members.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office applications.
