As we continue to grow, we’re looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Lead Accountant to join our team and take charge of our accounting operations. Job Overview As the Lead Accountant at Pinehurst Coins, you will oversee daily accounting functions, ensure accuracy in financial reporting, and play a key role in strategic planning and decision-making. This is a hands-on position, ideal for someone who is both analytical and proactive, with the ability to lead a small accounting team and improve financial processes. Responsibilities Manage and oversee daily accounting operations, including AP/AR, general ledger, and payroll. Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Ensure compliance with GAAP and other regulatory standards. Coordinate with external auditors and manage year-end audits. Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning. Develop and implement internal controls to safeguard company assets. Supervise and mentor accounting staff. Identify areas for process improvement and cost efficiencies. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred) 5+ years of progressive accounting experience; 2+ years in a supervisory role Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting Proficiency with accounting software (QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar) Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills Strong interpersonal and communication abilities Experience in retail, e-commerce, or precious metals is a plus.
