Job Description
Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team in Rocky Mount, North Carolina. This is a Contract-to-Permanent position within the Transportation Equipment Manufacturing industry, offering an excellent opportunity to contribute your accounting expertise to a dynamic environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills and a solid foundation in accounting principles, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in financial operations.
Responsibilities:
- Process and manage accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions accurately and in a timely manner.
- Perform bank reconciliations to ensure financial records align with actual account balances.
- Maintain the general ledger by recording journal entries and verifying account balances.
- Assist in month-end close procedures, including preparing financial reports and resolving discrepancies.
- Code invoices and ensure proper documentation for payment processing.
- Conduct account reconciliations to identify and resolve any discrepancies.
- Generate and review financial data using systems such as NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP.
- Prepare check runs and manage payment schedules to meet deadlines.
- Collaborate with internal teams to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiency.
- Support audits by providing accurate financial data and documentation as required. Requirements
- Proven experience in accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
- Strong knowledge of bank reconciliations and general ledger management.
- Proficiency in accounting software such as NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP.
- Solid understanding of journal entries and month-end closing procedures.
- Ability to code invoices and manage payment schedules effectively.
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
