Staff Accountant Position Available In Nash, North Carolina

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team in Rocky Mount, North Carolina. This is a Contract-to-Permanent position within the Transportation Equipment Manufacturing industry, offering an excellent opportunity to contribute your accounting expertise to a dynamic environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills and a solid foundation in accounting principles, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in financial operations.

Responsibilities:

• Process and manage accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions accurately and in a timely manner.
• Perform bank reconciliations to ensure financial records align with actual account balances.
• Maintain the general ledger by recording journal entries and verifying account balances.
• Assist in month-end close procedures, including preparing financial reports and resolving discrepancies.
• Code invoices and ensure proper documentation for payment processing.
• Conduct account reconciliations to identify and resolve any discrepancies.
• Generate and review financial data using systems such as NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP.
• Prepare check runs and manage payment schedules to meet deadlines.
• Collaborate with internal teams to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiency.
• Support audits by providing accurate financial data and documentation as required. Requirements
• Proven experience in accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
• Strong knowledge of bank reconciliations and general ledger management.
• Proficiency in accounting software such as NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP.
• Solid understanding of journal entries and month-end closing procedures.
• Ability to code invoices and manage payment schedules effectively.
• Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong organizational and time management abilities.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
