Overview The Senior Accountant will be responsible for managing the accounts receivable function and will play a critical role in supporting our treasury and insurance processes. This proactive and detail-oriented professional will join our growing Finance team and report to the Senior Manager, Treasury. In addition to core responsibilities, the Senior Accountant will act as a resource for cross-departmental initiatives, collaborating with leaders across the organization to drive financial accuracy, operational efficiency, and continuous improvement in an evolving organization. Responsibilities Accounts Receivable Manage all accounts receivable processes, including billing, collections, and reconciliation activities. Invoicing activity primarily includes franchisee and vendor management billings. Monitor incoming cash daily to post to ledger, apply to customer accounts, and reconcile to open balances. Monitor aging reports and manage escalations in partnership with the Senior Manager, Treasury. Report open balances by customer to internal partners monthly. Build strong relationships with internal teams and external partners in support of customer management. Perform regular audits of customer activity to ensure accuracy of self-reported amounts due. Continuously improve processes and controls to increase operational efficiency and safeguard company assets. Treasury Assist in daily cash management activities, including cash forecasting, liquidity monitoring, and bank reconciliations. Help maintain cash position reports and support decision-making for cash reserves. Assist in bank account maintenance, including opening and closing accounts. Deposit checks weekly, ensuring timely posting to the ERP system. Ensure timely posting of cash movement to the ERP system. Insurance Support insurance operations by managing premium payments, renewals, policy documentation, and Certificates of Insurance. General Ledger Manage franchise fee amortization schedules and prepare corresponding monthly journal entries. Prepare monthly accruals for franchise royalties and vendor management revenue. Work closely with Accounts Payable to apply credit memos to open vendor balances, preparing intercompany journals where appropriate. Support annual financial statement audit where needed. Qualifications Minimum 3 years of experience in a financial/accounting role. CPA license is a plus. Experience in account reconciliation Well adept with creating and maintaining Excel spreadsheets Ability to work independently and lead projects through to completion High attention to detail Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to meet deadlines including month-end close timeline schedules NetSuite experience is a plus PDN-9ed9f07e-7bd3-4ca3-9e84-9289593b9045
