Join Our Accounting Team at Prism!
The Senior Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the company’s accounting and financial operations. The Senior Manager will play a key role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with regulatory requirements, and supporting strategic decision-making. This position requires exceptional analytical skills, strong leadership abilities, and a deep understanding of GAAP accounting principles. A strong commitment to financial accuracy and data integrity is required. Directly reports to the Vice President of Finance,and is responsible for managing an accounting team. The individual will be responsible for managing the consolidated reporting and analysis of monthly and quarterly accounting close for all departments and business units within the organization.
A Day In The Life of a Senior Manager
Oversee all accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger.
Prepare and analyze financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP.
Manage and supervise month-end close to ensure timely and accurate delivery of monthly and quarterly financials including review of reconciliations and journal entries prepared by the accounting team.
Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Lead the annual budgeting process and provide monthly financial forecasts.
Manage cash flow, financial planning, and funding activities to support business operations.
Collaborate with department heads to analyze financial performance and provide actionable insights.
Ensure timely and accurate tax filings and compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
Prepare and review schedules and workpapers as requested by third-party tax and audit firms.
Supervise and mentor accounting staff, fostering professional growth and team development.
Ad to all company policies and procedures regarding employment, safety and compliance and report any concerns of non-compliance in any area to your manager immediately.
Perform any other duties as requested by the VP of Finance.
Required Education/Experience/Knowledge:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
7 or more years of general ledger functions and month-end close processes
7 or more years of increasing responsibility and complexity in relevant professional experience
3 or more years of management experience
Expert knowledge of GAAP and financial statement relationships, general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, income tax, banking, and inventory/cost accounting
Expert knowledge of Microsoft products, specifically Excel
Must possess an enthusiasm for identifying and implementing process improvements
Excellent management and leadership skills and ability to attract, retain, motivate, develop, and mentor team members for high-performance
Outstanding verbal and written communication skills and ability to resolve disputes effectively
Outstanding presentation and public speaking skills
Outstanding independent decision-making, analysis and problem-solving skills
Understand, interpret, and act on financial information that contributes to business profitability
Ability to plan and manage complex and successful projects; understand available resources, develop timeline, budget, and assign areas of responsibility
Lead teams to achieve company goals and solve complex business issues in creative and effective ways
Communicate effectively with senior management and key stakeholders
Ability to influence, build relationships, understand organizational complexities, manage conflict, and navigate politics
Ability to lead and develop virtual teams
Preferred Education/Experience/Knowledge:
Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration
Public accounting experience
NetSuite
Hyperion Financial Management (HFM)
Medical/Healthcare industry background
Physical Requirements:
