Job Description
Description We are looking for an Accountant to join our team on a long-term contract and/or contract-to-hire basis in the Sapphire, North Carolina area. In this role, you will handle various financial responsibilities, including billing inquiries, accounts receivable, and payment processing, while delivering excellent customer service. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment.
Responsibilities:
- Manage accounts receivable processes, including drafting and posting payments to accounts.
- Address billing disputes and inquiries, ensuring accurate resolution of charges.
- Process remote deposits and ensure timely posting of charges to appropriate accounts.
- Handle customer service calls, providing clear and thorough assistance regarding billing concerns.
- Reconcile and rectify account discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate financial records by utilizing third-party accounting systems and tools.
- Prepare and deposit funds, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Assist in auditing processes to verify the accuracy of financial data.
- Support the team during peak seasons by efficiently managing increased billing inquiries. Requirements
- Proven experience in accounting functions, including accounts receivable and accounts payable.
- Familiarity with accounting software systems such as ERP, Concur, or ADP Financial Services.
- Strong understanding of auditing processes and balance sheet account management.
- Ability to handle billing disputes with professionalism and accuracy.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills to assist with billing inquiries.
- Experience with remote deposit processes and financial transaction postings.
- Proficiency in managing financial data and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
- Strong organizational skills to handle multiple responsibilities.
