Job Summary We are seeking a motivated, energetic, fast-learning, and well organized professional to join our team! If you are familiar with accrual accounting, have experience with A/R and A/P processes, account reconciliations, and are interested in joining a growing company where you can have an outsized impact, this could be the ideal opportunity for you! This position will work directly with the Managing Director in Downtown Raleigh, with remote office, work-from-home, and other flexible arrangements considered. Primary Responsibilities
- Entry, coding, and approval of invoices
- Reconciliation of monthly bank statements
- Processing of bi-weekly payrolls
- Preparation and posting of monthly payables and journal entries
- Preparation and review of financial statements (profit and loss, cash flows, balance sheet, etc.)
- Maintenance of the company’s Chart of Accounts
- Classification of select receipts, including housing authority deposits
- Handling of security deposit refunds
- Accounting of credit card purchases
- Preparation of 1099s
- Other bookkeeping and office duties as assigned Qualifications The ideal candidate will possess the following:
- An Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- Minimum 1 year of experience in an accountancy-related role, preferably at a real estate, construction, or home services business
- Prior experience with accounting/bookkeeping software, especially any enterprise PMS or Quickbooks Online
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and cloud solutions such as Dropbox and Google Drive
- Solid time management and prioritization skills
