THE ROLE
The Senior Accountant will be responsible for supporting the Measurement & Control Solutions segment in delivering timely and accurate financial reporting. In this role, the incumbent will also interact with operational teams outside of Finance and accounting to improve existing processes.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
Support the monthly, quarterly and year-end accounting close processes in accordance with US GAAP for ~$1B segment.
Prepare reports, financial analysis and other internal control related activities.
Coordinate with internal & external audit to ensure audit requests are addressed timely.
Assist in the development and implementation of new accounting policies and procedures.
Liaise with and support Finance, R D, IT and other functions within the segment.
Continuously improve the accounting processes and procedures by identifying areas to streamline, automate & refine.
Analyze software development costs for capitalization under internal use (ASC 350) and software for sale (ASC 985) guidance.
Additional duties and responsibilities may be required based on organization needs.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or finance/accounting with 5+ years of business experience.
Public accounting experience preferred
CPA preferred
Must have a working knowledge of United Stated Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (US GAAP) and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX)
Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills
Continuous Improvement mindset
