Accentuate Staffing is currently recruiting for a SeniorAccountant to join a publicly traded organization in Raleigh. Inthis role you will be responsible for the preparation of NAIC andstatutory financial reporting and filings. The ideal candidate willbe a hands-on professional having expertise working incross-functional teams with a continuous improvement mindset forprocesses and controls. Responsibilities:

Prepare quarterly and annual regulatory and statutory filings,including all financial statements schedules andfootnotes/disclosure schedules to the financial statements Complete monthly accounting close related activities, including thepreparation of journal entries and account reconciliations forpremiums, losses, and statutory adjustments Research and document Statutory technical accounting matters Prepare any U.S. GAAP-to-Statutory reconciliations and changes inaccounting treatment Prepare and file supplemental schedules and state and regulatoryreports Compile financial data from tax and investment teams to include inregulatory and statutory filings Support premium tax filings in all states and municipalities Support external auditor activities relating to statutory audits,including providing certain schedules and variance explanations andaudited financial statements and related footnote disclosuresthereto Partner with IT and other departments cross-functionally tocontinually improve processes Assist with all regulatory-related audits and reviews

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in accounting CPA Certification is required Minimum four years of general accounting experience Working knowledge of GAAP Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced Excelskills Experience with Oracle E-Business Suite or other similar softwaregeneral ledger functions Strong attention to detail Superior organizational and time management skills with the abilityto manage multiple priorities Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment Strong people skills; able to collaborate effectively with a team,as well as with individuals in other departments and at otherlevels within the organization Excellent oral and written communication skills Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities
