Cost Accountant Leveraged Talent Solutions Hamptonville, NC 27020 • Hybrid work Job Overview Our client is searching for a Cost Accountant with manufacturing experience. The right candidate will have a deep understanding of the unique cost accounting processes for global manufacturing companies. This is a hybrid position at their Hamptonville, NC site. Main Job Functions Performs ongoing comparison of products and their costs and profitability. Consistently uses steering actions to achieve the targets set by the respective business in terms of new orders, sales, profits and cash Reports regularly on major business figures to management of the respective business units Analyses deviations in detail for management or the respective business units Prepares and coordinates planning (budget and forecast) activities for business figures at entity level Prepares and edits monthly and quarterly reports Inventory and related balance sheet reconciliations Accomplishes planning, controlling, accounting and reporting activities of costs and of special projects Takes responsibility for preparation and analysis of complex accounting issues Other ad-hoc responsibilities Qualifications Minimally 5 years in Cost Accounting Knowledge and experience in SOX and process/system implementation and improvements would be highly considered Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related area (or equivalent) with evidence of exceptional ability Minimum 3 years’ experience in manufacturing Accounting, automotive desired Must be able to collaborate and build positive relationships with other teams within Finance cross-functionally outside Finance to effectively make recommendations, implement process improvements
