We have an exciting opportunity for a Junior Cost Accountant to join our accounting team. We are willing to develop the right candidate into a “career” role.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Learning and maintaining the cost accounting system.
• Data entry into cost accounting system including table management.

Job Cost Reviews & Reporting for Project Managers and our Management Team Validation and Processing of Subcontractor and Material Requisition Complying with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) for financial statements. Assisting senior accountants with all financial operations of project/cost accounting Preparing and analyzing WIP, Deferred Revenue and other balance sheet accounts. Creating journal entries. Managing accounts payable and receivables when needed. Understanding and assisting in weekly payroll for shop Weekly and monthly reporting collaboration with the Accounting Department.

REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum 1-3 years’ experience
• Data Base software experience is a plus
• Ability to manage and meet multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Diligence and Mindfulness
• Knack for numbers and figures
• Understanding of basic accounting principles
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field
