Job Description

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team on a long-term contract basis. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in financial processes and a strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel to support critical accounting functions. This role is based in Marlton, New Jersey.

Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and review bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Maintain and update general ledger accounts to reflect accurate financial data.
  • Oversee month-end close processes, including journal entries and account analysis.
  • Analyze financial statements and reports to identify discrepancies and recommend solutions.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to support audits and ensure adherence to accounting standards.
  • Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts to support organizational planning.
  • Utilize Microsoft Excel to create detailed financial models and reports.
  • Monitor and improve accounting procedures to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Support the implementation of new accounting systems or procedures, if necessary. Requirements
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in bank reconciliations, general ledger, and month-end close.
  • Proficiency in Excel, including advanced functions and data analysis.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience working in a collaborative team setting.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
  • Familiarity with accounting software or ERP systems is a plus.
