This position requires a highly analytical professional with strong IT capabilities to streamline processes, develop operational insights, and support strategic decision-making. The ideal candidate will work closely with plant operations, finance, and senior management, gaining hands-on experience across multiple functions. This position will report to the Costing Manager. The backup will be the Costing Manager.

Duties Collaborate with the Costing Manager to oversee and execute key accounting, operational, and analytical activities across North American sites. Develop and improve data collection and processing systems to support plant performance monitoring. Automate recurring processes and reporting functions through advanced IT and data management tools. Create dashboards, forecasting tools, and KPI trackers to support real-time decision-making. Contribute to the development and refinement of the company’s North American pricing strategy. Support and lead various cross-functional projects requiring travel between Canadian and U.S. plant locations. Assist with ad hoc analysis, reporting, and process improvements. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications 3+ years of experience in business analysis, finance, costing, or operations role. Strong analytical skills and proficiency in data interpretation and modeling. Experience with business intelligence tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Excel VBA). Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment. Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to collaborate across departments. Eagerness to develop professionally and embrace new challenges with a positive mindset. Ability to travel between U.S. and Canadian sites.
Education/Training:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, or a related degree. Advanced training or certification in data analytics or business intelligence is a plus. 3 – 5 years of experience in cost accounting or similar field. Knowledge of the meat industry is a plus. Expert level proficiency in Excel is required.
Other Requirements:
Bilingual (English/French) is an asset but not required. Strong knowledge of ERP systems and manufacturing cost structures is preferred. Valid passport and ability to travel between the U.S. and Canada as needed.
