Senior Property Accountant Position Available In Essex, New Jersey

Job Description:

An award-winning 30 year Real Estate Investment and Developmentfirm in Northern New Jersey is looking to add a Senior PropertyAccountant to their team. This is a highly stable andwell-established company experiencing steady growth who is nowlooking to expand their accounting department. You’ll work as partof an extremely collaborate team of professionals applyingprinciples of accounting and finance to analyze financialinformation and compile accurate financial reports. KeyResponsibilities:

Review and analyze general ledgers for aportfolio of commercial properties. Develop budgets and reforecastsin collaboration with executive and property management. Prepareand distribute monthly financial packages internally and externallyto management, stakeholders, and government agencies. Preparationof monthly, quarterly, and annual variance reports. Prepare CAM andtax reconciliations. Review commercial leases to ensure accuratebilling. Assist with internal and external audits. Train andoversee junior accountants. Establish and maintain excellent tenantrelations.

Desired Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in accounting orrelated field. 3 year of demonstrated experience in commercialproperty accounting. Maintain thorough knowledge of leaseprovisions, must be comfortable reading and deciphering legaldocuments. Experience calculating CAM and utility reconciliations.

Proficiency with Yardi, MRI, Sage, desirable. Familiarity withconstruction accounting and AIA billing desirable but notnecessary. Must be self-motivated and able to manage multiple taskswith strong attention to detail. Strong analytical problem solvingand critical thinking skills.

Salary and Benefits:

Strongcompensation package dependent on experience. Bonus incentives.
